Imagine you're standing in the middle of a very large hay field with towering Oak trees at your back, while you look out over an absolutely beautifully lush valley with a small river trickling down the side.

The valley floor is dykeland, pure agricultural heaven, with a history and life all its own. 

The dyke system of this Valley was originally developed by the Acadian population many centuries earlier. These dykelands still live ......... changing with the seasons from the tilling and planting of spring ....... to lush fresh growth .......... to harvest ....... to the blazing colours of fall .......... and then back to a snow covered wonderland. 

This 'live' performance, having been rehearsed for centuries and repeated month after month .... season after season ............. has been perfected!!

The opposite side of our view is a sloping crest with its many apple orchards, vineyards, cattle and horse pastures, stately homes and farmlands. 

In the  background is the North Mountain, just a few kilometres in the distance and tallest in this mountain range and area. This mountain range separates us from the Bay of Fundy, infamous for hosting the highest tides in the world and responsible for more daily 'live' performances.

The property consists of 20 acres, beginning at the towering Oak trees lining this rural street, and eventually gently sloping to the river, with a private pond in the back corner surrounded by woodlands.

Most of the land is cleared, fenced pasture with a newer Ranch Style home nestled in the hay field and sheltered by the Oaks.  This custom built, grade level (no stairs) home has been designed for comfort and convenience, as well as being oriented towards this incredible view.

A few hundred feet from the house is a new Kentucky style barn, positioned such as not to obscure the view, but complement it. Again, the barn has been constructed for the comfort of its occupants and ease of caring for them.

For Elementary School age children,  the Village of Port Williams  is very proud of the fact that their  Port Williams Elementary School  has been recognized as one of five great  Canadian schools. It takes a community to raise a child and the Village of Port Williams stands tall, as does the entire region!
